After peeking the Newfound site I have a couple questions....

Which footbrace is preferred here, Yakima Adjustable Aluminum Footbraces or Keepers Kayak Footbraces? Anywhere in the Northern Boston/Southern NH area stock these?

I like the studs, there must be some similar gadget at home depot...what diameter bolt is correct for the braces above.

Can/should the studs or blocked t-nuts be installed prior to joining the halves or is it simple enought to 'tip and weight' then as a final step.
