: John,
: I recommend laying her in keel down. Then use load straps. Loop each strap
: around the tube and carry both lengths over the yak loop it under the tube
: and tighten.

: Drive 5 miles stop and re tighten your loaad straps and then back up the
: cinch mechanism with knots knots.

: If your straps buzz put a little ducttape balls on them to break up the
: laminar flow. The sound will stop.

: Enjoy!

Here's my fear Russ. Two other guys and myself built a boat and put it right side up on his car so we could put our gear in and head out for our great trip to Canada. We were leaving right after work and it was raining. The boat filled with water and mashed in the roof. This could happen with me since I don't have a coaming lip yet and can't put on a cover with my yak right side up. But if I put it upside down I will have to lift the yak over my head and place it in the cradles I think, but with the yak right side up I could start the yak from the back of the car and push it up on top. I should have explained myself better. I don't know how you guys load your yaks, except for the side loaders. Sorry for the stupid question. I will just have to try the loading methods today and see if I am strong enough to load from the side with the yak upside down.
