: Let me up the anti a little. We have 3 nephews which of coarse have 2 friends
: which are all hyped about building S&G’s. Ages 13,13,16,17,17. I’m
: imagining ultra sensitive care the first 2 trips. After that, no holds
: bar. At least that’s how my brother and I treated our boats at that age.
: Any special areas that will need special reinforcement?

If they build them They will be able to fix them when they break. I'm going with two layers of 3.25 on the bottom and in the cockpit and one layer on the deck. Im also using luan, I'm thinking that while not built "hell for stout" it'll most likely stand up to the abuse and neglect that I'll throw its way.

(at 50+ the sensitive care quits the moment the boat hits the water)
