Great idea,MZ, first, I'm not an expert, but they will tell you that styrofoam won't be attacked by epoxy resin, it's polyester that dissolves it. Second, the Walrus in George Putz' book has recieved a lot of attention and modification, my thoughts for styrofoam have been for a more conventional boat, but making her solid with sit-on-top features might work. One builder modified a stripper design quite sussessfully. The Walrus has been a proven staring point for many builders on the "Electronic Front Porch". It will be interesting to hear them check in.
