What if seasocks had fill tubes like float bags have. Rather than blowing, *suck* the air out from between the sea sock and cockpit. The seasock/coaming seal, plus the sprayskirt over the whole shebang would keep a good seal, and that seasock would be *sucked* up against the cockpit and not clinging to your legs.
