I am in the process of putting layers of marine spar ureathane varnish on my nylon covered kayak. The skin has become transparent and I am would like to put a layer of ureathane paint on the kayak before I put on the keel, wear strips on the gunnel, and wood around the cockpit. I would then like to put clear spar varnish over the paint, Can I do this? All the coatings would be oil based ureathane.
