:Mr. Bucket, you have about 5lbs on me. I can tell you that I have used my Ches 18 for 4-5 years which includes wet exits, successful rolls and re-entry practice. I do not recommend sitting on the deck. Sitting, standing and resting on the coaming is fine. Brian
