: I built a COHO 2 yrs ago with the help of my brother-in-law (a Master Carpenter). I just sort of picked one (I wanted to buy a new fiberglass kayak but couldn't decide, I needed more time to try more models out before making the investment) and Pygmy just happened to come out with the COHO and it got a good review. I do want to build a CLC to even out things out (West vs. East) but my goal is to build one of Nick's designs, Ive got his book and had him sign it for my at my purchase. I'm glad you picked one now get at it and ask all the questions on this BBS, THEY are the best at answering any of your questions before or after the fact(each step in the building). I was lucky to have the assistance of my Br-in-law. I'm going to Me this weekend from Wi with my COHO,now all I need is a better seat. Wayne G. Sunday I plan to try out KAYAKs.
