hi brett;
i grew up in sask.
my first REAL canoe trip was on the churchill. otter rapids to sandy bay. 140 miles. that was in '78. what don said goes double from me. some of the most unspoiled wilderness you'll find on this continent. none of your wimpy lake walleye either, but wild river runners.
i've been in british columbia for the last nine years. for salt water you can't beat the broken islands, or ,queen charlottes. ask !russ about the broken chain.
i'm sorry to hear about your less than perfect trip to canada, but don't let it spoil you on the other opertunities we have to offer.
all the best, and maybe, we'll see you for a paddle someday! :)
