In Response To: Form-a-gasket release agent? (Liz Leedham)

: Has anyone had experience using Loctite Form-a-gasket to make a seal for
: flush hatches? I would like to replace my present mediocre
: weatherstripping seal with something 100 per cent watertight. I saw an
: example of a Form-a-gasket hatch seal at a recent kayak symposium and it
: worked really well and looked pretty good too. The builder had some
: problem cleaning up after making the seal and recommended finding a better
: release agent than the furniture wax he used. Loctite's email tech service
: appears to be closed for the next week or two, and I would like to get on
: with the job before that.

I'd try PVA mold release over furniture wax.
