Guillemot double shear strip length

I've just started the process of making my first kayak, a Guillemot Double using Nick's book. While I'm completing the forms want to order the wood. I'd prefer to use a few full length strips around the shear line, and was wondering how long they will need to be for this kayak. The place I'm buying the wood from (Flounder Bay Boat Lumber) has a 20'7" cedar board in their yard, but I'm not sure if this will be long enough. Does anyone know just how long the shear line is for the kayak? I can figure it out myself in a few days (after the forms are on the strongback), but wanted to get the wood order going ASAP.

Thanks for any help.
