: Great boat! Now I'm torn: We finally get some great weather, should I go
: paddle; should I finish that canoe or should I start one JUST LIKE YOURS?

Go paddle.

If you've got the weather, go out and remind yourself why we spend hours and hours in the shop working on boats. It's to have a small craft to go out in and play when the weather's nice.

I love building boats, but I never pass up an opportunity to go paddling. You can work on the boat for 15 minutes in the evenings, at lunch break, before you go to work. There's always time to get the boat done. Going paddling takes a longer chunk of time--take advantage of those long stretches of time and get wet! Paddling only makes the building of a new boat all the more exciting.
