Mine is a bit hard to pull off if there's a vacuum or if I haven't opened it in awhile and the weatherstripping is sticking to the hatch.

I just have to really go for it, and grab it and pull it open on the first try. If you try to go slow, your finger just gets sore, and it still isn't open. I just grab it and pull it off, any vacuum equalizes quickly.
