: 2004? I don't know , Bill, but i think the 'x' is touching down in 2005. you
: know you know . How 'bout some detail on that carbon fibre Valclav
: coamings. I hear next gen: carbon fibre with resilient resin: mass
: decompounding. m.ps: what's your weight, over 'x' feet?

Actually, the coaming is fiberglass. Originally, I had planned on a colored deck and decided to use some resin dye from Raka to make the coaming black. Now that I see it, it may be too stark on the white skin. I may end up toning it down. Ross used carbon with good luck. It should be lighter (fewer layers) and stronger.

My weight we won't talk about :) , but the boat was around 26 lbs with skin. I haven't weighed in with the coaming, but it's probably about another lb. I suspect It'll be in the 30 lb range when done.
