Christchurch, New Zealand. We are lucky, with Banks Peninsula on our door step there is some really good year round paddling. We had our first little snow flurry for the winter last night, but the sun is shining this morning, no wind, great paddling weather. Shame its monday morning and I am at work!
I have made it as far north as Vancouver, but the backpacking budget didn,t quite stretch to the ferry up to Alaska. It looks like it's really spectacular country when the ice cubes melt though.
