In Response To: Caribou as a S&G Design (William Paul Clarke)

Barry was making the Caribou professionally when he sold the mold to CD. He started out making it as a s&g and eventually made them in foam-core Kevlar. His boats were beautifully built, much nicer than CD's.

As far as I know the plans are not available.

: In my opinion, the lines of the Caribou "S" kayak that Current
: Designs produces makes it a good candidate for a S&G boat. The literature
: on the company website suggests that the Caribou was originally a
: homebuilt design by Barry Buchanan. Does anyone in this forum know if
: there are plans for homebuilding the Caribou? Any information on this
: design or similar designs would be appreciated.

Why not a North Bay from CLC?
