Hi All,

I'm back and trying to kickstart myself back into boat building mode. 'Round about June of last year, Louise and I got sidetracked by a big vacation, followed by a job change followed by the purchase of our first home. The long-time-regulars may remember that we were building an Osprey and a Coho in the livingroom of our one bedroom apartment. Now they'er out in the garage...

The Osprey is mostly finished, it only needs hatch seals, seat, rigging, and varnish. The Coho is started, the hull is glassed on the outside, and the deck is stitched but not glued.

Our new house is a 1913 Craftsman Bungalow, and since November when we closed escrow, it's been one project after another. We're restoring what needs to be restored, and remodeling what's been changed in a period style. After a whirlwind 6 months, we're wrapping up the house projects to try to finish the boats and get them on the water by September or October and do some backpacking in between.

It's good to be back and to see so many familiar posters. I've been avoiding the KBBS because I knew other projects were pressing, but now I'm back and getting psyched up to get to work.

Later,
Tim (and Louise) now in Pasadena, CA

PS I've provided a link to our house site below for anyone who's interested. For you strippers, it's as unpolished as a 20 year old pile of salvaged redwood fence slats! :-)
