I laminated an ash coaming lip on my Great Auk and am ready to shape it. I wish I had used tape under the bottom layer so I could slip it off to finish the bottom, but I'll use a file or rasp and stand on my head.
For the top, I imagine a gentle slope going from inside to out will work best, but I'm appealing for more experienced opinions.
What sort of radius on the bottom corner is the best compromist to keep the skirt on without wearing a hole in the skirt. The recent post about 1/4 round molding got my attention. I was assuming something more like 1/2 round.
Thanks,
Mike
