I recently asked Ross Leidy this question. How much does it cost where you live for strips? I live in B.C., on the west coast and clear western red cedar is attainable reasonably. I milled all my strips out of one piece of 20' 3x10 and a 16' 2x4 of yellow cedar. Both pieces tight grained and clear of any defect. I didn't mill cove and bead but planed my strips by hand to achieve the tight fit. Is thhere a market for such a product?
