Gummed up sandpaper

I have glassed the outside of the hull and have begun sanding the now hard fibreglass. I have a lot of sanding to do to achieve a smooth surface and I find the sandpaper gums up very quickly. This is the first time I have ever used epoxy resin so I am not sure if this is normal. Its been a week since I applied the glass so I can't believe things are not fully cured.
Is there a certain sandpaper I should be using or is this normal for epoxy resin?
