Deck cracks.

For the last several days I have been sanding outside. It is so much easier to see. This morning I sanded for a few hourse and quit, then came out side to sand some more in the afternoon and the deck had cracked in a couple of places. Probably the sun and wind had dried the boat out too much. Anyway, I need to push things ahead fast so I can stablize the deck. I will try to finish sanding patching the deck tomorrow, then move the boat back inside and prepair to fiberglass the deck Sat. I just read Nick's idea of putting wax paper between the deck and haul and I think I will do that instead of trying to blue tape it as I was going to do. I was thinking of wetting the deck out with one coat of epoxy and when it was tacky, trying to lay the cloth on so it would stay in place while I put on the next coat of epoxy. Is that a bad idea? My gaps came back between the deck and haul so that is something I will have to deal with when the deck/haul mating time comes. I would appreciate any last minute thoughts.

I sanded the loops off of my ROS sander and am now using the stick on 5" sanding disks. I like it a lot better and its much cheaper.

I checked on Beckson Deck Plates as was suggested to me and I think I have settled on the 8" screw out plates that are clear see through. They are priced at $22.95 and weigh under a pound each.
