Unless you have a 20 foot bathtub to soak a strip in, you may feel the need for some steam. A 1,500 watt hot plate, a tea kettle, a 7 foot length of plastic pipe set in a cradle whose height matches the level of the tea kettle spout, a couple of rags to stuff in the ends around the work piece, 15 minutes to bring a full kettle to a boil and 15 minutes of steam and you can have your way with the strip.
