Teak and epoxy compatible?

I'm planning on fitting a teak block in the stern of my GB to accomodate a rudder in case I want to install one in the future. I'm also planning on glassing teak rails on the inside of the hull to mount the footpegs. I chose teak because it's a hardwood that I think will be resistant to rot if it's epoxy encapsulation should eventually fail. Anyway, I know teak has some natural oils and I was wondering if any particular pretreatment would be suggested before epoxying.

Thanks,
Jim
