parking lot syndrome

In spite of it being rather cold and windy in Seattle today, I took the two Pygmy's over to Lake Ballinger to celebrate their last and final coat of varnish (woohoo! they're done! completely!), and once again a passersby stopped and asked the usual questions for 10 minutes.

Has anyone ever NOT had this happen to them?

On one particularly egregious day last fall, during a two-hour jaunt from Lake Union up to Magnuson Park, eight people stopped to talk before, during, or after. EIGHT!

And I can't even imagine how you strip-builders handle it, being that your boats are even more impressive and eye-catching than my "plain old" S&G's.
