: I have worked with engineers, geologist, geophysics, computing scientists and
: other professionals. I too have noticed something about them: They all
: base their arguments on the priciples of their field. And all accept
: arguments based on those principles. (There is no "well I don't
: know")

George, you do have a tendency to state your position by what you are in opposition to as opposed to what you are for, case in point, your website. The anecdotal evidence (one case) you use to condemn the authors instructions on strip kayak building is not "principled" or fair. Nor was the posting of your review on Amazonbooks about those books. Your "principles" appear to put you at odds with conventional norms of courtesy and consideration. You have yet to provide your own empirical data comparing common simple laminations. For example the strips built according to your "failed" model along with strips according to your prefered method.

: I used to try that here, but, in general, we now just pick up sides and
: shout.

: I make no demand that those who are nonprofessionals or even those who are
: professionals need to argue properly. It would make OUR stay here nicer,
: but it will not happen.

: If you just want to insult each other, we can do that also.

Consider the social principle of condeming others work then conversing on websites hosted by them. I must admit your insults have toned down a lot from a couple years ago.
