Speaking of Syntex Fabric..

I was thinking of using this as a protective strip along the keel instead of the dynel(spelling?) as it wets out clear. I see a post below where someone wants to do a complete layer on the hull but due to costs I was thinking just the 2-3" strip along the keel. I saw this material at Vaclav's website. Has anyone any experience with this material and will it hold up to the abrassion as well as other materials used to protect the keel? I have spoke with the company which sells the material and it would probably run approx.$75 just to do this strip. From what they said modified scissors are needed to cut Syntex.
