Howdy Folks!

Just finished my steamer ( well, almost. needs the drain added ). Thought I'd try getting a photo up on the board.

The steamer is 3" ABS plastic pipe down-sized to 1 1/2" for the riser and plugged at both ends with caps, the upper one having a couple of slots cut into it for the strips. I'm using a 2 1/2 qt. Tea-Pot on a hot plate and it's all wired to the bench, which by the way, is on castors. I took my ideas from Bill Price's sketch and photos, and just added the "Rehd" touch. The drain will be added to the lower end cap to eleminate the condensation which will collect there while operating. The two practice strips I worked were bent into a 360* circle and the other twisted 720* before it snapped, but, even then the pieces, when held together maintained 360*. The break came at a place where the grain wavered and was flat in that area. The strips were 3/16" x 7/8" x 5', clear, vertical grain Pine.

My opologize for the poor photo quality as I'm using what I have and that's a polaroid. Not good indoors!! Working on getting a camera some time in the future, but, right now, my priorities are BOATS and building same.

I'm only posting this picture here because my "construction" Web-Site is still in the "works." I'm working on having someone come over and help me build it. I haven't a clue. :)

I hope these pictures come up as I have been trying to get one to post and have had no success. So, here they are: ?????

Notice: Any remarks as to the resemblance to a GIANT "GROUP" BONG and you're telling on yourself. Hey, I'm in California, a Baby Boomer, A Nam Vet and a Postal Employee. I KNOW these things. :)

P.S. ( How does one get a single picture to come directly on the KBB from the photo-point album? I was obviously not successful with this attempt. )

P.S. 2 ( If this is sucessful, I will be posting several pics of my Strong/Bench in the near future. )
