Deck to hull joint

Instead of beveling corresponding strips on deck and hull to line them up, wouldn’t it be easier to just strip over the joint with bead and cover and just cut it apart later? Cutting thru the forms shouldn’t be a big concern at that time. It seems to me that the joint would come out cleaner and any zigzags in the cut would help with lining it up.

Any ideas?
