My wife and I are currently living in the UK, and as I understand it, some excellent (and sometimes hard to locate in the US) woodworking tools are manufactured here. Before we must leave in the fall, I was considering fleshing out my now sadly limited tool collection. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations or opinions of English made hand tools, specifically hand planes and spokeshaves? I understand both Norris and Record are both highly respected, but would like some input from those who have used them.
