Hey, you can pick on me but you can't pick on my friend who helped me to glass. He helped me get the job done, and done properly while you would have still been wiping down your precoat with paper towels. If you re-read my posts as to what he said, you'll see that the crux was, "epoxy is cheap, it's expendable, we ain't gonna dab it on like a pair of old ladies . . ." If you prefer to stretch your wet-out time by playing with the epoxy instead of applying it, fine. But you surely didn't use any less apoxy or gain any additional strength ON THE KAYAK over my friend Dan's job. If anything, your wiped-off precoat may have compromised the integretity of that glassing. I may not be able to do as good a job as my friend, Dan, but I won't stand by and let you criticize him for a job you know less than nothing about.

It would be interesting to see if your technique would allow any glass delamination when a 250lb guy jumps on a surfboard you've glassed!
