Also, be sure to mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual West Coast Wooden Kayak Rendezvous (R2K). This event will be held August 19th & 20th at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, Washington. Lots of kayaks, fun, frolic, and paddling.Bring your kayaks for the lineup on the beach. Watch demos and participate in mini-workshops.

Some of the Bulletin Board regulars participating in R2K will be none other than Shawn Baker (navigation, rolling demos), Mike Hanks (how to build any kayak out of anything for real cheap - or something like that), and Pete Roszyk (hybrid kayak - stripped deck and hull panels used for his stitch-&-glue kayak).
