Pygmy Deck Modifications... Suggestions?

Hi all,

We're getting ready to glue the deck for our Osprey, and Louise likes the look of the multi-chine hull so much that she wants a multi-chine deck too. Her idea is to cut the largest and central pair of panels in to 3 parts, increasign the number of panels in the deck from 4 to 8. This would have the effect of giving the deck a rounder appearence and giving it the same multi-chine look as the hull (see stick-figure cross-section below). We're thinking that the saw kerfs may remove enough material to get the desired shape, but we may need to sand off a bit more to get the look we want.

Aside from the need to modify the temporary forms, what issues do you imagine we'd encounter?

Thanks for any suggestions!

- Tim and Louise.
