Deck Rigging

Well, my Patuxent is nearly complete. All that remains is the final coat of varnish, and installation of the deck rigging.

My question concerns attaching the bungees and hatch straps. I plan to use CLC's method of making loops with nylon webbing and screwing into the shear clamp. My concern is how to seal the screw holes to prevent water from entering. I considered epoxy, but am afraid that will prevent me from removing the deck rigging in the future when I need to revarnish the deck. Plus, epoxy might permanently attach the nylon webbing to the deck.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken
