Shellac on the forms

Hi All;

I want to ask about any experiences with the use of shellac on the forms for staple-less building. I thought about the fact that I haven't seen it mentioned here, while putting on the 2nd coat of shellac of course . . . Laughing Loon's instructions recommend shellac for coating the form edges when you will be using hot glue instead of staples. It seems logical, hot glue will stick but wood glue will not. Has anyone had any experience with this technique? He does require Duct tape on the stems for easier stem removal.

Best Regards, Spidey
