The Hybrid: It Floats! (jpg)

Just in time, by my own schedule, I've finished the construction phase of the strip panel S & G CLC West River 164, and ain't that a mouthful.

Happy, and a bit relieved, to report it actually floats and paddles like a pretty decent boat. Decent tracking, easy to turn, and you can lean it over enough to take on water and still recover without having to brace. It came in at about 46 pounds. I'll have to send CLC a note thanking them for the design.

More to my point here, though, is I want to thank all you out there for your encouragement and nice comments during the project. It was a real challenge for me, and at times I needed some of the perspective that was provided here.

I have to move on to the Millenium Kitchen & Bath Project, but as Arnold said, I'll be back.
