"Here is a picture of a friend's Guillemot. His name is Jim Bieber. He built it using foam strips instead of wood. He is a fiberglass worker, and made it with materials he had on hand (epoxy, glass, and paint). The foam was Boeing surplus. Toatal cost was around $100. It is a extra heavy layup using 10 oz. 20 oz. glass. He hasn't launched it yet. He hasn't kayaked much before, and don't know that he is thrilled about a maiden voyage in winter. I'll try to get him out there soon."
