In Ted Moore's new book, there are some comparisons of different 'glass schedules and different wood thicknesses. The testing was performed with 12'x12' panels ranging from 3/16 to 3/8 " thick and with 'glass schedules from 1 layer of 4oz to 2 layers of 6oz fabric w/epoxy resin (West) Force was applied paralel to the grain of the wood and froce was applied to failure, measuring the pounds of force applied and the inches of deflection at failure. There has been some discussion on this in the past....thought it might interest some folks here. there are also numbers for plywood panels for comparison.
