"non-blushing" polyester resins are not a new thing. They have always been available. Gel coat is the primary example. Like George says polyester resin is air inhibited and this is advantageous for a gel coat because you can apply the coat to a mold, let it cure and still have an uncured surface to apply the next coat to.
