I'm considering building a kayak, and after some reading and investigation, have focused my squinty eyes on the Arctic Tern. I'd like to hear what people that have built/paddled one think about it, especially in comparison to other boats. How stable is it? how does it perform in various adverse conditions (wind, currents, chop, cross seas, following seas, etc)?

Mike, I already know what you think. :) [feel free to chime in, though.] and, by the way, a friend had your experience... built a boat, his wife took it out for half an hour, and said "so when are you building yours"?

I'm a novice paddler but no slouch at woodworking.
