For those of you out there who have done auto body work, the use of a tack cloth after sanding and before epoxying your deck would seem natural but don't do it. Apparently something in the adhesive causes an amine-like blush to appear, even on amine resistant epoxies like MAS slow cure, that is very hard to sand out. Even after sanding the deck will have a dull, lackluster appearence. I finally gave up and used the other side of a fore panel for a Chesapeke 17. MAS does post a warning against tack cloths in their instructions but I didn't catch until later.
