I am puting a sealer coat on the hull of the canoe I'm building today. A friend has given me some carbon fiber tape and I'm thinking of using it to put a series of half ribs along the outside of the hull , say: waterline to waterline, on about 6" centers. I think this should add a bit of stiffness with hardly any gain in finished weight. any thoughts on this. Thanks, Bob
