Masking Tape Used For Clamping Strips

Finished building a stripped deck for CLC Mill Creek 16 I'm making. Used the bulkheads, deckbeam and shear strips for forms to staple the strips to. In some locations had three or more feet with nothing to staple to. Found that in areas with no support, that I could use masking tape as a temporary clamp to hold strips together until glue dried. Taped together strips didn't drop down as much between staples and saved making a lot of temporary forms and alot of extra staple holes. Finished deck looks pretty fair so masking tape methoud seems to have saved installing more temporary forms. Just thought I would pass this info on.
