West Systems Epoxy

Kara, I also have noted clouding with West when using their cheaper grades of hardener with the 105 resin. Another boatbuilder locally gave me a tip abouyt their high octane hardener, 207, 209, that are mixed in different proportions to the resin and therefore require a different set of pumps, that do not cloud at all. Solution: use the cheaper hardener for interior layup because for stitch and glue construction you are generally adding fillers to the epoxy anyway, and use the 207 or 209 (depending on how hot it is), for the exterior coating work The 207 is considerably more expensive, but to my mind, completly worth the price. It woiks!
