Using 18oz glass cloth, what will result?

If you could get some 18 oz cloth cheap, would you use it for kayak building?

How much heavier would the kayak be than if you did use 6oz glass?

Would you choose thinner okume plywood (say 3mm inplace of 4 mm) to compensate for the increased glass weigth in a stitch and glue? Would you use thinner strips in a strip built?

Or would you refuse to use the 18 oz cloth because of it beeing to heavy, because of it drinking too much epoxy, because of it beeing more difficult to lay out over the kayak hull (if this is so, I do not know if it is so...)
