I'm looking for a piece of deck hardware. It serves the same purpose as the wood turtles on somebodies stripper, ie. to hold a shock over a hatch covering. The closest thing I have found in name is a hammock hook. The exact item I am looking for is on a pre-Current Designs Caribou. I think it is made out of stainless,it has about the same hole mounting dimension and orientation as common plastic deck eyes, the hook portion is broad,lays low and is bent over so as not to hook anything accidently. I have looked at a few marine hardware stores as well as all the catalogs they carry. Not to be found. If anybody has any idea where this fine piece of hardware can be found I would be most grateful.
