Question on your comments regarding sealing the wood with epoxy at low temperature then raising the temperature to cure. Can you explain this in a little more detail? Are you talking about post curing, or raising the temperature after the epoxy has already reached a green state?

I learned my lesson early about applying a coat of epoxy then raising the temperature shortly thereafter, (before it had cured). It causes outgassing problems.

"The Gougeon Brothers on Boat Construction" p82, recommends warming the substrate and allowing it to cool a little before coating to enhance resin absorbtion.
