Strip: Dry Fitting the First Deck Strip *Pic*

So here's a shot of the first deck strip (dry fit). I cut all these "U" clamps and wedges as a stapleless technique on the hull. I ended up using hot melt glue and sash cord instead. Still, they come in handy - especially the small wedges. Here I'm just getting psyched for the next phase: checking that I can make the bend, etc.
One goof-up that occurred to me when I flipped the hull... The screws that are holding the shear clamp to the forms were sent in from the side and are now hidden beneath the completed hull - oops! They book says to sink the screws from the top (90 degrees North) and now I know why
The workaround looks like it will be: To strip the deck but not glue it to the shear clamp just yet - probably cover it with tape and plastic wrap so I have plenty of options later when I have to pull it out of there.
Also, I updated my site to include most of the recent pictures. Be sure to check it out.
