I mentioned in that link the idea of not using a full bulkhead
on one side of the joint, so there will be access to the volume
when the boat is disassembled.

and as I also mentioned, this crazy idea works great for me.

: I have a S&G yak with no hatch covers on top.I have sucessfully put in a
: water tight door in the rear bulkhead,fairly easy to access.
: After deciding to put ajustable foot bracing in I have realized the front
: bulkhead will be out of my reach for water tight storage.
