: I am doing a project on canoeing materials i am studying polyester resin
: could you give me any info it would really help thanksI once used polyester resin to glass the plywood covering of my boat and it worked ok. What was unique about the PR I was using was the first specialized coat set up with a tacky tape like surface. Then you layed you glass on it and it held it in place while you put on a second and different PR coat that set the first coat up and it all became hard. I really liked it. I wish there was an epoxy product like that. This was a Sears product, many years ago. The conventional wisdom is epoxy will stick to polyester but polyester won't stick well to epoxy.
