which kayak to build

i am fairly new to kayaking, i currently have a p&h capella but recently have been considering building a kayak. for my first boat i am considering the Chesapeake Light Craft but am undecided between the Chesapeake and the North Bay. The looks of the North Bay is fantastic, CLC however rates this a little more difficult to build than the Chesapeake. Any advise re which model, why the North Bay is more difficult to build, and any tips would be appreciated. Thanks
